Seventh largest in the world and fourth in Europe, with a turnover of over € 16.5 bn and a workforce of 50,000 employees, the aerospace industry represents the largest manufacturing sector in Italy in the field of high-tech integrated systems.

Piemonte has the highest concentration of Italian aerospace companies. The region offers a complete pipeline of skills and qualifications; high level manufacturing, processes and service companies; cooperation with universities and the R&D network; unique products and engineering know-how; educational & training systems; and an organized supply chain.

The Piedmont aerospace industry is made up of 350 SMEs and many international key players employing approximately 20,000 people, with an annual turnover of around €7 billion.
